Howler of an error in media reporting
This is mainly for MLU members within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)...although other MLUers will no doubt appreciate the content.
Today's Toronto Sun (Sat, Sep 4 2010, p9) shows some profiles of the aircraft which will participate in the annual Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) held at the waterfront as part of the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) during this somewhat soggy Labour Day weekend. Halfway down the page is a title: F16 Fighting Falcon. Shown is an airplane in the configuration of a Mirage III or a Dassault (same?). It is definitely a delta wing config. Those of you of the military aircraft observer persuasion know full well the config of an F16...not even close to a "Delta Dagger" type at all. Truth in advertising..............Where the Hell do they get the researchers and/or proof readers? York U, no doubt! (Inside Toronto joke.) Google the entry, then giggle or gag. |
we had a report about guns going to mexico on CNN some time back.
the picture had a AR-15 with the mag inserted upside down so you could see the rounds sticking out of the bottom of the mag. |

Dave Are you sure it wasn't two mags taped together..?? For fast reload tape one upside down to the in use one and quick switch when empty..I had a Armalite and a mini 14 and although never had a AR-15 ..a mag would not go into the rifle upside down, due to the mag floor plate which was larger than the mag opening in the rifle.. Just a thought. :remember :support :drunk: |
ummmmm no.
some friends of mine kept looking at it on Utube, no tape or mag holder. it was all over the gun boards. someone took there time and forced the mag into the gun upside down. |
