Love the last shot with the cavalry riding up the dune.

There are loads of Pathe films with Morris products in them. If people are interested, I'll post what I know. There may be some duplication as more than one type can appear in the same film. Some of the appearances are brief or background shots, but you can normally catch them in the 'stills' option.

If you spot any errors or find any additions, send me a PM and I'll edit the posts to keep a master list going.

To kick things off, all of these have CS8s in them.

Thanks for those Rich - great finds. I've updated the lists.

I've more to add, so watch this space.

Rich Payne 22-08-10 01:22

You're welcome Alan. I had them bookmarked anyway due to the motorcycle interest - and thank you for the link to 50864 which shows 50th Division with the Nortons of 4th Royal Northumberland Fusiliers crossing the Belgian border at Herseaux. There are a number of other films and stills from the same location but nothing in the same league as the one that you've posted. I really can't work out why I hadn't found it.

pathe more

In the Pathe search engine , type in FREE FRENCH and look at the Middle East/Nth. African stuff. Great one on the use of captured German aircraft , shows them flying a Stuka and a ME 109 and salvaging German trucks .

Hello, Mike -- long time no contact!

The CD on Holden's wartime activities you sent me several years back has come in handy!

Did you ever use the Morris document (covering the 1939-1950 period) I sent you? I know you mentioned wanting to publish it in your club's magazine.

Bill

Mike K 27-08-10 04:45

Hi Bill

Hi Bill,

You kindly sent me the WW2 FORD Geelong production stuff .. amazing you found that .

I think you also sent me the ROOTES group wartime info .

I have somehow misplaced the Ford Geelong info, I would appreciate another copy ?

I dont recall a Morris document from you , apart from the Wheels and Tracks tillie stuff , but I am probably not remembering correctly.

There is also a GMH colour movie , made in 1944. Do you have it already ?

MIKE

Bill Kreiner 27-08-10 05:56

Hi, Mike:

Do you still use the same email address as back then?

I'll forward you everything again, if that is the case.

I have never heard of the 1944 GMH color movie! Sounds fascinating.

Bill

Mike K 27-08-10 07:04

Another good one
