Rosies of the North

Just been watching an excellent documentary about the female Canadian workers at CanCar who built Hurricanes and other aircraft during the war. The documentary can be seen online here.

That was unforgettable

Keith I had just turned the TV off in disgust when I saw your post..... I am glad to say I just had a brilliant night watching Rosies of the North.

Thanks for sharing, all those girls make our current PM pale into insignificance.

Quality

Yes I agree it's far better than watching the pathetic exhibition of our pollies. In fact I can think of SO many challenging things I'd rather be doing than watching a political debate, like:

* Going shopping for clothes
* Watching sport on TV
* Being forced to listen to top 40 radio with inane DJs
* Cleaning toilets with my tongue

Those wonderful ladies (and many like them in other Allied countries) have my enduring admiration. I thought it was a particularly well told tale and really enjoyed the script written in a contemporary style. The Canadians really know how to make a good documentary and it would be a good investment in time and bandwidth to look at some of the others there.

My pleasure Hanno.

I agree you don't often see something like this portrayed from such an interesting angle.

Regards

Keith
