Re. Website
Hi all - thanks for your comments. There is still a lot of work in the Carrier database. I have numerous images hyperlinked to the database but need to work out how to activate the website hyperlinks as the database is protected. Maybe I will just have to post all the images in another document.
Rich - the main reason it took so long to launch the site was coming up with a good web address (yea right!!) Bob |
... perfect Bob, I love Phoenix :salute:
When I'll be back home I'll place a link in my website and blog. Greetings Chris (still recovering from coughing) |
Looks fine, but having a bare href="mailto:you@somewhere.net.au" reference in your 'About Us' page is a sure way to attract loads of spam from web harvesters. Ways of improving this are to put in a

What'd he write?
Hi Steve,
Just trying to decide whether you're being polite, or should wash your mouth out - I guess the former... :ergh: :salute:  Alex |
Well done Bob!
In your Carrier Register, Can you put some notes to explain things to the uneducated, of us. eg the blue numbers.
What about including a brief history of the production, models etc. Which one is the LP3? (maybe I just missed these things) |
Carrier Register
Hi Lynn
Firstly the blue numbers were hyperlinks to images. They work on my computer but not on the website version as it is a protected document. I will eventually remove the blue colour. Secondly, I have just uploaded numerous Carrier images, with many more to go. Thirdly, I intend to have a Production page showing factory images. Of course if you had a copy of Mike Cecil's Australian Military Equipment Profiles Vol.2 Local Pattern Carriers 1935-1945, the whole story unfolds. :confused Steve, I am new to websites and once I decipher what you wrote I'll amend accordingly. Congratulations
Well done Bob. Looks good.
Cheers Rod |
Update
Hi all - I have finally re-visited my website and did some amendments including Euen's Carrier details. The only reason I have done this now is I forgot how to do it so I had to ring technical support.
