First image: - is the Arm of Service (AoS) marking of a Signals unit - the serial 215 in red on a background of white over blue divided horizontally - unfortunately, I have no idea what Signals unit used serial 215 Second image: - is the Formation Sign used by Headquarters, Lines of Communication 21st Army Group and by the Lines of Communication and Base Sub-Area Headquarters - a dark blue crusader’s cross on a yellow shield - this Formation Sign was used by all HQ’s of the L of C and by certain formations and units under direct command of those HQ’s - this Formation Sign was also used by the Headquarters, British Troops in the Low Countries after the cessation of hostilities in North-West Europe - this HQ was based in Brussels and was the Administrative Headquarters for all British troops located in Belgium and The Netherlands after the cessation of hostilities in North-West Europe I hope this helps. thanks for the info , I also couldn`t find the number 215 in anny lists , a bit lower is the Signals collor again with number 74 in red on it(on the first coat of paint ) , and also on the white axle plate is still number 74.
on the other side is hardly visible a black square with remains of a white circle on it (XXX corps ? maybe) |
