Thanks Peter... believe it or not, I was just about to ask!

As per previous years, will there be camping for those who are coming from distance?

I look forward to seeing all of you again.

Hi Peter,
Can I get a vendor table to flog my books?

Re: Stuart,

The event always takes place at the museum building by Oshawa Airport... it's at the very top of Stevenson Road North (a few hundred yards north of Rossland). You can't miss it - just pull up "Oshawa Airport, Oshawa, ON" on Google maps and follow Stevenson Road North.

Camping is on the grassy verges surrounding the parking areas. For facilities the museum folks can brief you.

The weather reports suggest campers may get wet if they don't choose their location with care. If careful, they might get away with damp instead of soaked.

You're right..

...looks like a rain day. We'll make it through OK. The parts department inside the building should have a good day.
ALSO...Stevenson Road has a nice new exit from the 401. Straight North to the show.

See you there.

Peter,

It was a fine day to see the usual suspects.

Thanks to all who helped in setting it all up.

Affirmative on that! Despite the rotten weather, it was a pleasure to see all those who drove in from all over Ontario to be there... yeah, we got wet, but who cares?? Congratulations Peter, ya done good once again! :)

PS: Who owns that V-100 Commando that showed up? No one I spoke to seemed to know him... but the vehicle was/is amazing - I didn't even think there was one in Canada!

Thanks again Peter!

Geoff

Thanks everyone.....

who showed up. Lousy day. I heard a lot of comments about the condition of the grounds but remember they work on tanks there not antique cars.
We were lucky again with no injuries. Seems to me people avoid climbing on wet tanks. Our receipts were down $1000 from last year for various reasons,
mainly numbers and people not paying their $5 admission.
I was pleased to see Stu Robertson there. Bill Gregg's no. 2 i/c, who did most of his work. And he's doing up a 15 cwt. Geoff and the Superjeep had a close look around. On the other hand we didn't see Brian Cox, Rob Grieve or Frank Grant (yes...he's still at it.). Even Bruce Askey made it. Dianne Scatzker and my wife Sandra looked after the books and renewals and stayed on statio all day.
How about next year we start for dealers at 0730 and others at 0830???
Comments please.

Peter Simundson.

Hi Geoff...I did get a chance to talk to the owner of that Cadillac-Gage that was there, as he was standing beside my M38, but I didn't get his name....

Stewart Loy 14-06-10 18:06

My 2 cents.

Peter,

Thanks to your wife and Mrs. President.

8:30 is better for me - so I can have some breakfast on the road.

Stew...
When you say...

Stew..
Stop eating that damned road kill on the road..I told you about that last time...you'll get sick or run over by another vehicle..

I believe that Peter has made allowances for your lax and slack habits of lounging around in the pit until you are sucking hind tit and trying to get to the show at the early opening...
Well if you are a dealer..you would qualify for entrance at 7:30AM..or oh seven thirty hours...real time..
And you would have to get up and at it at a decent time,to be on parade for the opening of the doors..
So if you are a dealer..get the hell out of the rack..suck it up..get up early enough to stop and stuff your gob..if you must..
I'll have to assist in your training sessions at BBB....maybe some short courses in beer drinking would help you get up earlier..
:drunk::remember :support :p

Thanks Peter
This was the first show I've made it to and we had a great time. What's a little rain. Everybody we met was great and thank Dave for the tour.

Thanks Wilf, it was good to see you there! We're the poorer for not making friends with that chap... it was obviously a great effort on his part. I hope he chimes in here sooner or later.

Cheers,

Geoff
