C60L Tipper
1 Attachment(s)
Just looked at a fairly straight Chevrolet about 2 hours west of Brisbane in amongst a collection of other (non-military) vehicles, a couple of which I am interested in. The farmer does not want to deal with people and has asked me to get rid of the collection through clubs etc. All are big restorations.
The Chev looks pretty original and complete. It has an underbody hoist which I think is after-market. All tags etc intact. Civilian type instrument panel. Very little deep rust. There is a spare Australian canvas roof cab to go with it. Whether it goes or not is anybody's guess but it was "driven there" - aren't they all!!! He has just bought the property so knows nothing of vehicle history. He has been told it is worth $1,000 but I think it could go for less. If you are genuinely interested - not just in a day's outing to look at trucks - let me know and I will give you his number. |

Photo taken from the front. Interesting feature is the Canadian GM plate you can see attached to the door pillar. The engine cover still has all the usual plates as well.

G'day Lang,
I believe that the Blitz tippers were all on the C60S/F60S chassis so this one must be a homemade one. The tipping gear may well be the correct unit as they were all underbody hoists. What other interesting bits are there. I'm still looking for a Brass Veteran. Any clues, PM me if you know of something. Thanks Rick. |
Are these still there let me know,
thanks Mike |
Mike,
I understand one of our MLU members has them now. Lang |
