Hi John Its a Mk1 Carrier. But it is part of the 2pdr ones that were made during the war. I beleive it is owned by a Cliff Ladoucer. He used to post on this forum a lot about 4 years ago. Haven't seen much at all from him since. |

1 of 24 It is one of only 24 made. Fitted with obselete 2 pounders made in regina, shipped out west as a wartime expediant as generally airfield defence. We have one at the CMEC museum in Chilliwack fitted with an incorrect but close 37mm out of a staghound. Good to see there is another one out there in really fantastic shape! |

AT Carrier. Thanks for the info. It is cliffs he was looking to sell it but wanted too much. I got some pictures but thats all. I heard from another person that there were 100 made but you say there was only 24. Who ever is right it is the first one I ever saw so it must be very rare. I can't afford it so its up for anybody. :whinge |

According to Nigel Watson's book, the contract was for 100 machines. My front armour is part of that contract and I beleive my hull to be also. Sadly can't confirm due to all the key parts missing, Ive also found an unrestored, very complete carrier with a number that falls towards the begining of this contract. However it is a standard Mk1* with no hints of being made into a 2pdr. |
