The Red Ball express tour starts and ends at the CRASH-museum, Aalsmeerderbrug, Netherlands.

Hanno, we can't afford to mis this one; they practically drive through our backyard!

I was there at the opening of the CRASH museums new location, earlier this year. There was a nice CMP Ford LAAT there; looked like an older restoration, but very nice and complete. There also was a 15cwt 4x4, can't remember if it was a Ford or Chev. It had the wheel wells of the box welded shut, just like on Mike's Ford in Canada. Nice one as well and I understand that one was for sale.

Yes they did. It was good to meet you there and later at my place for a "tyre kicking and manual flipping session".

Attached goes a pictuere of the HUW and Tilly present in the morning. I know the C15A and LAAT you mention but they were not there, nor was the Commer Q2 with Queen Mary trailer + Harvard fuslage which participated in the Red Ball Express some years back. Would you happen to have pictures of the latter?

Hanno, it was great catching up.....even if it was only a week ago :yappy: Thanks for the hospitality and it was great seeing your F15A in person! Having a look through manuals is always enjoyable.

In my opinion the HUW and Tilly were the nicest vehicles at the show. The HUW has certainly seen better days when it comes to paintwork and service, but I love it, because everything is there....working Northern Electric 19set, original lockers and table, Chore horse.....Dunlop Track grips....etc.
Pity the LAAT and C15A didn't turn up this time. Let's hope the 65th Celebration of the Liberation next year, will encourage some CMP owners in Holland to get there trucks out of their barns.
