M3a1 stuart in mid east museum
3 Attachment(s)
I was looking through my photo library and i noticed something unusual about this m3a1 stuart, how did a australian marked up stuart manage to make it into this museum in latrun middle east. Their is also a grant with australian marking their to. Where they sold to them by a collector over here or just painted in those markings by that particular museum.

Send your question to the curator at Latrun. I'm sure they have a file on each vehicle, and will be able to respond to most questions.
In general, there is a neutral spirit of sharing with museums when it comes to acquisitions. What does X have that Y covets? What does Y have that X needs to fill a spot in its collection? It doesn't matter whether you are talking tanks, paintings, bronze nudes or stamps. At a certain level money talks, and collections are just that - money. Every so often governments or foundations top up the collecting budget, but all artifacts have value. |
hi there!
Well better late than never... well i believe it is an ex-aust stuart and looking at some of its features it is infact a M3 Hybrid. I believe it got the via James S... but dont quote me :confused Phil... |

Certainly looks like an extensive collection.
