Hi. Has anyone got a decent picture of how the front gunners firing support plate if configured, i have the firing rest plate which is bolted in position with 2 round head bolts, i belive on top sits another 5" long plate which holds the rubber block with two bolts.
been scratching my head on this one as the plate i have only has fixing holes for the two round head bolts and two for clamping that 18" long strap in position. |

Mine is just a wooden block ontop of the metal support bracket. From what I have seen, all of the rubber firing rests use that little metal tray. On the metal braket itself there should be two smaller holes that are threaded and close together. They are for the screws to hold the retaining strap in place.
And Nigel. Stop teasing with those last 3 pictures you posted. I need one of them also plus the actual shepards crook. |

hi, thanks Nigel and Jordan for your pictures. I have a question, how is that metal tray attached to the L shaped metal bracket?, there are no holes in it?, I see in Jordans picture there appears to be two 1/4" counter sunk set screws holding that tray and block in place, My L shaped bracket is NOS but doesnt have the holes.
I have seen differences between British and Canadian Carriers, I think that tray was used on Canadian carriers but is missing on the British ones ???, saying that here is a british carrier in australia, left hand drive!. |

To quote Nigel, "Steady lads" I should credit this picture, so I'll credit the beauty of it to the lady in it. Elle McPherson. |
