Posting links question
When you put a link in a post, how do you change the text part that you see when you're done? You used to get another dialog box but it doesn't come up now.
Hows this |
I'll give it a try to see whether anything has changed

Yes, it still appears to work... you'll notice the text of the link is highlighted when you click OK on the first dialogue box to allow you to replace the text. :teach: |
Rather than use the pop-up dialogue box, I just cut and paste the address and write the rest in, in this format:
[.u.r.l.=(Cut and paste site address)]Write in title of link that will appear in thread[/.u.r.l] Don't use the "( )" brackets around the address. or the "..." in url. That was just to get it to show in the thread! It will then look like this: Write in title of link that will appear in thread |
Oh, BTW, you will find lots of helpful threads and "How-to's" in the TAC HQ forum, (where perhaps a helpful moderator might move this thread to!) :teach:

I got it to work using Tony's method. Now if I'm linking to pix on the forum and am logged on through Class Five then Class Five shows in the link. Since I don't seem to be able to log on through Mapleleafup the links will end up as class five links. Now if class five ceases to work like tortuga did then these links will quit too. Will this be a problem?

Having said that, use http://orbit.dnsrouter.com/~mlu/forums/ if you can't get in on MLU... if you can't get in on orbit, it's a brief outage and will be back shortly. |
