Kiwi LP Track
 

Hi there, heres a picture from Mason and Porter Auckland who during the early 1940's were manufacturing Track links for our locally manufactured LP2 Carriers. I got in touch with a bloke their recently about the original moulds etc which unfortunately don't exist anymore and he sent this through. We talked about new moulds for producing track so hopefully in the future once this economic cloud lifts and theirs some coin to spare we might have a good look in. cheers David...

Thanks for posting that pic of the tracks, very interesting to see those two sprockets mounted on those frames. looks as if they were asembled on the sprocket, I have never seen that system before, by the way did you find out what the old moulds were made out of,
On a lighter note I can use about 25 tons of that track in the back ground
