M4A2E8 kangaroo?

Hi everyone,
I seen this picture and was looking for more info or pictures, I think it's more of a range control vehicle due to the flag (but that's just my opinion)
If so, would the turret opening be plated over?
Would there be a hatch?
If it's an APC then would there be seats?

Étienne:

I was the one who found some of those pictures, or at least gave Hanno a partial explanation.

In my estimation, these Shermans were used well into the 1960's in Borden or Meaford as trainers. There were no or few M113's in the system until the mid 1960's, and I suggested some savvy Northwest Europe vet got them added to the training establishment to perpetuate those particular lessons learned.

Thanks

I had seen the website before, I wanted to build a model of this vehicle but there's not enough pics of it.
