Dense? HA!! AJ, to a Canuck that ain't dense.... there are huge swaths of Canada where you can't see 30 ft/10 m.... and if you get lost you can wander in it for hundreds of miles in any direction and never see anything more than that far away from you, much less any sign of civilisation.... your 'scrub' looks like a delight to wander in! :D :p

Beats hell out of -40, which our north country can see for protracted periods of time for several months per year...

aj.lec 01-10-08 12:02

true
I dont think you would have to worry about the scrub being the densest item if a person was wandering around in any scrub at either extreme temperature :D :D

Very evocative pics, Andrew

Like the up the track one - so much of Australia looks like that.

Keith,

That photo of "dense" scrub almost looks like it has been cleared! My backyard looks thicker than that when the cook goes on strike until I mow the lawn.

I think Jiff has it right when he describes their stuff - hot is just hot but after freezing your bum off you die! Give me Cobar any day.

Have you ever heard of the phrase " MUD MAP "
This has to be an Aussie one if I have ever seen one (I received photo in an email)

No way, that has to be a fake??!!

Bloody great if it's not.

aj.lec 19-10-08 12:24

I received it in an email so i dont know it's history
Great shot though
To me it looks fairly authentic going by the wheel tracks and soak lines :confused
