Dodge Rebuild, R.A.C.T. February 1955

The truck is a wartime Dodge 6 x 6, now in Ireland, which has a stencil "rebuilt by RACT Feb 55"

Ray Edsall suggested that R.A.C.T. is Australian, ( Royal Australian Corp of Transport) and then someone else pointed out that it didn't come into being unitl after that date, having been the R.A.A.S.C. (Royal Australian Army Service Corps) until 1973.

So, what organisation rebuilt a Dodge in 1955 with the initials R.A.C.T. ? then?
