All the info I've got is in the pics, been there for at least 3 months, (thats when I first went past it anyway). This trip I took the camera.

 Cab 12

Yes, I've been eyeing that one too... spotted it a couple of months ago - it is fairly battered but has a few good bits still on it.
	It's a cab 12 F60L. |

 # 12

I think that's an ex-British order or assembled F60L supplied under S/M 2019, then issued and sold to the AIF. Nice find!

 S/m 2037

G'day Keith! S/M 2037 included three-ton 4x2 Fords, and also C60L and CC60L, so I guess that they were FC60L. There was a suggestion that the Chassis & Cab were supplied under S/M 2019, and then assembled in Dagenham under S/M 2037, and local contract 294/VS/4784, as EC018Q. However I think now that they were a run-on contract (Demand) for S/M 2019 then 2037 (2019 assembled under MofS contract 294/V/4288). Examples known of S/M 2037 F60L: Serial # 16869; Motor 2G47579F with "S/M OR C/D 2037" on the plate and Serial 16347; Motor 2G47755F; "S/M OR; C/D 2037". These, and the one mentioned, were all October 1941-built engines by the way (just checked!).
As to S/M 2126, this was a direct-Aussie delivery it seems. My notes say: Quote:

		Thanks David
	The ones I have seen here are all higher manufacturer's number: F60L 17206 2G42720F S/M OR C/D 2037 F60L 17757 2G38332F S/M OR C/D 2037 F60L 17820 2G27596F S/M OR C/D 2037 |

 S/m 2019

I have to leave it for 'the jury' to decide about which Demand the #12 was supplied under, but it would appear that it may have been too early for S/M 2104. I have to suggest that on checking my file, I think it's too late for 2019. Here are the trucks that were w/o in the train crash when the loco hit a vehicle on a level-crossing en route to presumably Halifax for trans-shipment:
	Built by April 1941 Included 2G-14877-F /14658-F /14881-F /14685-F /14909-F /15125-F /14474-F /14564-F /15056-F /14463-F /15165-F /14682-F /15058-F /14855-F /15149-F /14349-F Thus I have to suggest the # 12 was possibly supplied under S/M 2037. But I leave it to others to ponder! |

 Ta!

Cheers Mate! I have added the data to my file. Really, the more data I/we collect, the better as I think we have found all that the DND papers have to say. The Austrakian archives however I believe have a heck of a lot more to reveal. In the meamtime we rely on hard evidence gleaned from 'actuals', so it really is much appreciated.
