Dash plates

If you're talking about the zinc plates for switches gearshift and other details all you can really do is clean them (short of replacing them with reproductions). Once they have faded (and they all do over time) you can't bring them back as far as I know. There was someone here in Queensland making cab 12 sets - can anyone give us the contact details please?

Peter Gough in Brisbane does a very wide range of outstanding data plates for many WW2 vehicles (he can produce on order if he does not have them in stock). You can call him in the evenings on +61 7 5548 6420 for international or for Australians 07 5548 6420.

Reproduction Chevrolet Switch Plates

Hi all - this subject has come up before. Bob C (Boobee) indicated that Jeff Caldwell had made replicas of these. However I attempted to communicate with Jeff on several occasions but never received a response, so gave it up as a bad job. If anyone can confirm Jeff has these or get him to communicate I would appreciate it. I have considered replicating these myself in a decal similar to my instrument decals but if someone, Jeff, has done this in a cost effective manner, I would prefer just to buy in.

Thanks for the replys but the answer is as feared.does anyone have any clear pics of the plates ie switches gear shift and warning plates so i can see about getting some decals made.Or altenatively does anyone have a fairly good shift plate for a 11 cab F15A with the single shift transfer box they would like to sell as thats the worst of them all

thanks

Toggle switch with little ball

This weekend I spotted on the coverage of NASCAR racing toggle switches with the little ball on the end like those used on Pattern 12 Chevys. Will search for more information.

You will see them on older examples of radio and or electrical fittings. Generally of UK origin. I have seen many variants of these toggle switches over the years.

The original examples I have , scrounged from cab 12 wrecks , are of dubious quality . From many perspectives, in plain terms, THEY ARE CRAP ...

I found some NOS examples , made in the UK , at a swap meet. They are pictured here with the tag . Also , one is still inside the plastic cover,, from the 1950's I think.

These are the switches that were in my gun tractor when I got it. I have done a search for Alpha and come up blank.
Does anyone know them and what happened to them after the war?

switches

To find switches of simlar or the same style do a search in google or in Ebay with " ball handle toggle switch" and you will find pretty close to what you are looking for. I was keeping this as my little secret but my monies are being directed towards home reno's at the moment.

These plates are the ones on my truck .
Does anyone know if im missing one on the switch panel because there is hole drilled for one more plate.

Looking for a price and availabilty.
Thanks
Anthony

Missing plate

You're not missing one. The dash was drilled for all versions and the front axle engagement warning was the one that went there on 4X4 versions, which of course you don't need for a F8.
