Jules Y Boisjoli.... soldier WW2

I have been looking at the MLU site for about a month now and have looked at a lot of threads and discussions. The soldier leaning on the rear left fender is my father who served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles and the Royal 22nd Regiment of Canada.

Any information on the carrier in the shot would be appreciated.

I have also located another photo which shows dad on a Motorcycle. If I recall correctly he said the photo was taken in Stanley Park, British Columbia. Dad is the first rider on the right.

Guy, are you speaking of the third man from the left in that shot? The carrier is a Mk.1* in standard infantry configuration, and we're looking at the rear left quarter. The carrier appears to have some sort of licence plate on it, which indicates Canadian (vs overseas) service? When was the picture taken and where?

There are more than a few things I will have to learn to communicate in this forum.

I will have to learn what is the front and what is the rear of a vehicle or carrier.

I will also have to study the intracacies of the replies, quotes, and messaging formats.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Now I don't know where the picture was taken but I do know that my dad did some training in ValCartier, Shilo, Southern Alberta and Victoria B.C. This shot can be from any one of these locations. I remember him saying that while in Alberta, they had some some exercies with new smoke generators that were to be used at D Day.
Dad signed up with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. His unit eventually went to Hong Kong. Because of his languages, he was posted to the 22nd and was a dispatch rider overseas. He was then re-patriated to Canada with the Winnipeg Camerons. Dad did not talk much about the war.
