Chevrolet Blitz For Sale In Sth. Oz

Hi all - roll up and get in quick. A young contact of mine bought this truck a while ago but realised he has bitten off more than he can chew. It is in an auction on 31 May but if I can find it a good home he'll sell it before hand as I have helped him quite a bit. The truck is complete and running although the cab is fairly rough and it only has a wooden tray. The grill has the bow tie and the date plate is still attached. I can pick up the truck and store it at our place or negotiate to transport it its new home.

$1200 ono.

PM me if interested, but don't take too long.

General Motors of Canada Ltd
Chassis Model R106
Cab Model
Chassis Serial 3-8443-60514 M
Engine Serial PR 3946943
Order No E-52-384
Date of Mfg 30 6 44 AUS M

R106 is a RAAF designation - a C60L. This one possibly had a steel dropside GS body. It was assembled in Melbourne.

Sold & Saved

Hi all - sold for $1000 to a scrappy. But this one is a saving, restoring and/or on-selling guy, so he has my respect. Besides which, at $1000, he would never make his money back. The beauty is that he outbid another scrappy who would have scrapped it.

Thanks Bob

As you know Bob I was curious about the price on this one.. I knew at least one scrappy was looking at it and they are hard to out bid now that scrap is so damn high.. Hopefully it won't end up in China.!! Was it one from the two bridges area.???

Scrappy

Hi Kym - Balhannah Recyclers. They are a three generation family business and are also collectors and the guy I spoke to seemed quite reasonable. As far as beating the scrappies, just outbid them on about $320 per ton weight of what you want to buy. At that price a base Blitz should be around $1000 scrap price.
