The cook's tour thread

From time to time I have the pleasure of visiting a fellow collector and am even fortunate enough to be able to take the cook's tour.

In this thread I'll post a series of galleries over time featuring a particular collection or location for your viewing pleasure.

Here's a tour of Len Watkins' collection I did last month to kick things off.

I should point out that you should not pester Len over the drool-worthy things you see here. Len is working on many fascinating long-term projects, perhaps the most interesting (and closest to fruition) is his cab 12 Ford 7A2 gun tractor. Many of the vehicles you will see are marked either with a 'W' for Len's vehicles or 'B' for those belonging to Les Bell.

Keith,

About 10 years ago, I was taken to see the collection as it stood in the paddock, a lot of interesting vehicles. Some new ones to be seen in your photos, Keith. The Austin K6 Coles crane seen in the background of one photo, was there when I went, since then a friend had one and I did a bit of work on it.

I am very impressed with the restorations going on, great stuff. Look forward to seeing them completed.

Interesting to see another whole federal. I have a mate who has one, and i've not seen any others about (not that it means that there aren't some out there). Is it a 604?

I bet I'm not alone when I say I can't wait to see it finished.
