Fuel tank

The first photo is a fuel tank with the end cut out. This one was previously coated on the inside. :ergh:That is the baffle at the bottom.

The second photo is the cut off end. We need that filler neck for the new tank.

The third is the neck after a quick blast. Even after the blast it still stinks terribly.

This is another tank that will donate more hardware for the good tank. The sparks from the grinder ignited the nests of who knows how many generations of mice, snakes and hornets. We should have had hazmat suits.

We need the reinforcement ring under under the sending unit.

These are photos of the tank ends and the wooden bucks that Bob formed them on. Very time consuming.

Keep us posted on the process

Hi Berry

Please keep us posted on the process of making up new CMP petrol tanks. I’ve got to fabricate two tanks for my Patter 12 C60L. What are you using as sheet metal? Are you using galvanized or plain steel? Interesting how you formed the tank ends that was one of the things I was having trouble figuring out how to do.

Cheers Phil
