Keith,
Now that must be young Ashley, who always gets photographed stuck in a mud hole. Whats he trying to do this time, jump over the hole? :D

Geoff Winnington-Ball (RIP) 26-10-03 00:27

...and this is.. just before liftoff, or just before touchdown? What are its relative takeoff and landing speeds? And what does he use for flaps? :D

Max Hedges 26-10-03 04:55

I know that Blitz

Being a Chev I didn't think it had that much power, I'll have to try the Ford now.

Aaron 26-10-03 10:56

gee im good

hey all
That looks better from the outside than what it did in the driver seat. Chev power is all i can say:D Fords just get weighed down by the extra two cylinders they need for power.

He's travelling at his Vne speed (Velocity never to be exceeded), although I'm not sure just how fast this is it must be something over 30 mph.

You'll notice he's trying to rotate the vehicle to take off, but the stovebolt 6 just doesn't have the oomph to make the truck leave the earth.

Of course there is a pic in the archives of an early FGT which is completely airborne and is making a high speed low pass along the flight line. There's nothing quite like a V8!

Tuned on the go

Obviously, the secret to this un-Chev like display lies in the fact that engine cover is sitting in the rear tray (Did it stay there for long?) allowing Aaron to make adjustments to the distributor timing as he went, gaining power that is normally only found on the latest Variable Valve Timing engines. This cool display of nerves and divided attention is a credit to Aaron, but could not be replicated in a Ford without a triple jointed arm and a willingness to lose a few knuckles in the fan. Thank goodness this is not necessary in a Ford!

Australlian Earthquakes

Must have been very unsettling to have the ground drop away under the truck like that. We all know Chevs wouldn't be able to get airborn without a CH53 attached so I conclude it must be an earthquake or sink hole.

Flying Chev

Arron I hope you didn't use up all the Nitros Oxide for that Photo prior to have the Chev motor blueprinted and balanced. The sprintex supercharger has helped I see.

The driver of this vehicle had his 21st birthday party last night his birthday isn't actually until the 23 rd of this month. You might all remeber him as a young 16 yer old at Corowa putting his vehicle in the water and having to be rescued. Will try and attach some photos later when em's gets back.

Happy birthday Aaron

Now you're a man we're going to be expecting to see some real action at Corowa!

Hope you had a good one.

You're getting older but your blitz is looking younger!

Chev Boat

Yes those were the days when a suggestion brought out a big grin on Aarons dail; next thing you now the Chevs being launched skyward or its drifting down the river. Now days Aaron seems to be missing at the runs we think that he picked up an anchor some where along the way. :fry:

Max Hedges 24-11-06 10:29

Aaron

what do you know that we don't. how right you are rusty what a guess Yes he has certainly gone quiet lately but then again the celebrations were pretty rough on him.
