Well done Mr. WB. Will that be a ringside seat with a view of the servers station, or a seat in the shadows?

Not if it means slowing the flow of ale! Besides, we try to protect the virtue of our lasses so as not to wear out our welcome...You will just have to leer like the rest of us.

Regrets!

I will be staying in one of Khadafi's hotels in Bamako, Mali (the guy seems to own about half the hotels in the town!) so, regretfully I will not be able to make it.

Here's hoping Sue looks after you 'cause she'll slap Jiff's smile 'round the backside of his slouch hat if'n he gives her any guff! :fry:

Have fun all and plan the next one for the middle of Apr... I'll be home for at least three weeks in April.

By the by, a certain guest from BC owes me for a meal and beer after the last call!!!! :D I'll have to head west to collect sometime.:yappy:

 :salute: Mike :remember :support

We will just have to soldier on without you, Mike. I am sure that we can find other sources of entertainment in your absence.

By the way, any news on your latest acquisitions?

You're not very nice! As it so happens, I am the perfect gentleman when it comes to members of the fairer sex... :teach: :nono:

Yes, gentlemen, I have witnessed and can attest to the honourable GWB's gentlemanly behaviour as exhibited at a number of events held in and around the Ottawa area. As entertainment chairman, let me say that we Ottawa Rotters are looking forward to your arrival, Geoff.

As for our Gunner, we will miss you Mike. Your slide shows have always been interesting, and your stories kept us amused. Godspeed on your trip.

To keep us entertained, here is the Agenda:

Update on MLU and its future - GWB
Update on Alex Blair Manuals - Axle
Update on Service Publications - Clive of Ottawa
Update on the S&P Museum - Graham
Update on the Iltis Club - TBA
Update on BB3 - The Duke of Hammond
Update on the Summer's CMP events - All
Quaffing - All (Don't drink too much if you are driving!)

Bring your Rotters Hat. Don't have one? Well, come see me and I will fix you up!

Rotters Hat

:confused What, may I ask as an outsider to these events, is a "Rotters Hat" :confused

Paul.

Oh god, gag me with a spoon! Yer wifey-poo gotcha back on those meds again, Rob? You do realise that constitutes a challenge of the first order, don't you? :D

Damn, I think I'm gonna cry... :ergh:

Paul, don't getcher knickers in a knot! Periodically, someone has to wake Rob out of his winter reverie, and unfortunately, that responsibility falls upon my humble shoulders from time to time. The burdens of command... [sigh]

FYI, the "Rotter's Hat" is a personalised baseball cap presented to each regular and honourary member of the Ottawa Rotters. Personally, I think it's been impregnated with -- oops, I can't say that, this is a family forum... :D

Re:- Rotters Hat

Many thanks for the explanation Geoff :D

May you all enjoy the 16th Feb, and by the looks of posts on previous meets you certainly will.

Paul.

I am hesitant to take part in any social function whose standards are so low that they would allow me to attend. That said - I'll be there early in order to get a seat with the best view of the waitress station.

You're going to have to move me out of the way then, because I'm going to be there from the time the place opens. Y'see, you have to show up then if you want to melt any of those Ottawa Icebergs they have serving tables... and I intend they be fighting over me by closing time... :D

BTW, Clive, good one about standards and such; it saved me saying it about you! :p

Geoff, I am trying to turn over a new leaf. Gone are the days of petulant fury, political incorrectness and closemindedness. I would emplore your assistance in this trying time, er, challenge,,,OK the wife left the office,,, You had better hope that Bobbie does not volunteer to chauffeur me to Gracies...

Just gotta be careful when reeling them in,,,that's it, the hook is set.

Hmmmm...... methinks this is going to be one of the more memorable Gracies Calls. :salute:

Dear Pens, Pencils and Stationery,

A Rotters Hat is a chapeau of the finest quality polyester embroidered with a Rotters banner and a message of your choice - see below for a better idea.

Come on up to our fair city and I will present one to you!

Geoff Winnington-Ball (RIP) 12-01-08 03:16

BTW

Can we arrange for that blonde in Clive's pic to serve me - er, us? :D

RH...
If that old lad with the big hams reached around that sweet young thing and ripped that dirty smudge mark off'n your upper lip..you would fall right in line behind me in the "Ugly" line...
If you are going to grow a 'stash, get some proper techniques from Uncle Bill...
I haven't been approached with a timetable from Sunray yet for batman services,so do we have an actual commitment from said Sunray..?
:remember :drunk: :support :no4:

Alex,

Quite right about that smudge! Methinks we should ..ah-hem.. address the subject on the 16th, n'est-ce pas? Bring your clippers, sir...

Ref moi, apologies, but the latter half of this week has been tainted by visits to an obviously self-taught dentist... at least I'm not dead yet!

Choices are as follows: ARR YOW 16.02.08 at 1226 or 1526, and DEP YOW 17.02.08 at 1600 or 1730. My inclination would be towards the 1526/1600 respectively (it is Ottawa after all), but I'm open to suggestions - certainly nothing pressing on this end (it is Toronto after all). Breakfast on Sunday with Cheri sounds good to me, followed by a winter tour of Schloss Hammond? Your call. (of course after a Saturday night with Gracie's Girls I may be dead)

One way or another I will book today & confirm when done.

Alex,

Thanks for the warning. Yes, we could all take "smudge mark" growing tips from Wild Bill. As for ugly, well, I am happy that you don't find me attractive. Besides, it does not matter if we fell out of the Ugly Tree and hit all the branches on the way down, - both of us are married to great gals and don't have to be good lookin'.

As for batman duties - if GWB keeps up the Ottawa-bashing, I'll call a few of my buds at YOW to give him the welcome of a lifetime that he will never forget...cue latex gloves. His pick up time just may be delayed.

Anyhoo, it is shaping up to be a great bash.

RH..
Does Uncle Willy have a pass slip on this parade..??
With all his free time now you think he could spare us a visit..There is no way he is getting out of BBB3 this year..
He got a pass last year because of retirement duties but no pass this year..
He'll get broken from WO1 to Lieutenant for sure if he misses this one..
Crikey...a fate worse than death..
