Aussie tractor at the NMMV
 

On display in the outside pavilion at the NMMV, Dubois, WY, USA.

Anyone recognise this Ford-MH 'Tractor, Artillery, Aust No.3' and whose collection it came from? There is also an Australian late production 25-pdr field gun in similar sand-colour paint there, too. I assume the same source?

I dunno, but AIF H 871 is an accurate number for an LP3 M-H Tractor, so somebody has taken the effort to get the details right.

Might be ex Belfield I think.

I had a look over this truck during its build. John is a brilliant engineer/welder and general metalsmith, his fabrication skills are top notch, I believe he did two apprenticeships in his younger days, as a fitter and turner and I think panel beating.

Thanks Mike & Jack ... that nails it. Didn't see the Trailer No.27 Mk.1 - wonder where it is.
