F15a wiring question

I have been doing some familiarization of cab 11 wiring and robbing some parts off a donor vehicle I found that there are 4 condensers used. One on each fuel tank sender and one on each oil press. and temp sender. Where have you all been getting these 0.1mfd condensers. I can't find them anywhere.
Cheers,Dave

Condensers in sending unit circuits

Hi Dave,

Those condensers, as far as I know, were used only for radio suppression.
Maintenance Manual uses the phrase in regard to the fuel tank sending unit "If equipped with a radio suppression condenser..." implying some vehicles were, and some were not, fitted with these.

That being so, I don't think they are required, but will leave it for further confirmation.

For interest sake I have attached a photo of a temp sending unit condenser Part No. C11A 18827-A1 part of C11A 12013 A & B Radio Suppression kits.

I would not use it, as old condensers are renown for failing, but it is a nice thing to keep for interest sake.

Cheers,

that makes sense.I couldn't see why a condenser would be needed for the gauges to work.

Maybe they were fitted to the vehicles that had electric fuel pumps? ...Or were some CMP's suppressed and others not?
David maybe you need to look via those companies that fit R.Ts. or at radio shack type places, rather than automotive parts places.
Unless you are operating radios or are concerned about what your veh. is doing to other peoples radios / t.v. etc., then I wouldn't worry about fitting them.
Automotive condensers for 12 volt ignition runs about 5 or 6 mfds. I can't remember what a 6 volt set up uses.

Dave, Paying heed to Jacques comment above (and they fail by going bang and bursting open!), you might like this:
