Dodge T212 8cwt manual and dingo

gentlemen

please excuse a moments self promotion but it thought the new owner / reader may just frequent this list. These are two spare manuals from my collection that I have listed on Ebay:

Military Army Dodge T212 manual

Daimler Dingo scout car manual

kind regards

Nick

Ahead so far

I'm happy to be in front on the T212 manual, but I'd also be happy to pass it on to someone who actually had the truck to match.

I think Phillip Stuart has the only one left in the UK now, and I don't know if he has the manual for it or not.

Do I get a discount for being an MLU contributor ? No ? well I thought I would ask....

Maybe free postage if I'm still ahead when the auction times out?

T212

hello Gordon

Nice try..... incidentally do you have a operating handbook for that orange thing you keep in the shed??

kind regards
Nick

Stuff

Well you can't blame a Scotsman for trying, can you....

You know, I think I do have a handbook for that thing, but not sure if it's exactly the right year / model. I have photocopies of some stuff and I thnk one real manual. Always interested in real Tucker stuff if you run across any, and there is at least one 743 hidden derelict somewhere in the Alps I must track down one day.

I'll pass on the info to the new owner of Al Toees' T212.

Would that be the one in Aberdeen, Scotland? I know of three survivors: one in the UK, one in the Netherlands and one in Austria (and a replica in Australia), so there can't be that many people interested in this manual ;)

Yes

Phillip is the chap that lives in Aberdeenshire, I've been to his house.

His truck used to belong to Dundee district council, and when I first saw it, it was for sale for £150 and needed a battery, a tailgate, and a hoodframe - it even had the original bounce pads in the cab roof.

Subsequent owners junked the original body and wrecked the engine, but Phillip has brought it back from the brink.

We'll see if any mystery buyers outbid me at the last minute... 8-)

Here is the replica , I took these pics 3 weeks ago . I think it was a original T212 chassis . Warren used a T110 cab and made the rear body from plans .

Warren used U.S. 1/2 ton axles , I suspect he had the special drums made e.g. cast up .

A nice job , although the repro body was slightly incorrect , it looked too neat for a start .

WC 17 Carryall...

I'm dealing with a customer at present on a parts manual for the WC 17 carryall at present..I haven't seen a name posted that is his so there may be more models out there than you think..

Parts list for a WC 10 close enough?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2471959412

The WC 10 has the early transmission joints, WC 17 would have the later types, but close.

Obligatory Commonwealth content, we used all these types, honest... Paul Campbell has a book showing a Carryall with van-type back doors somewhere in north Africa, but it's a lousy shot so no deatil to be made out.

Hello Mike,

This is a reply to a very old thread, but I wonder if you still have access to those 8-cwt body plans?

Roger Wilson is new here on the forum and is looking to replicate one of these bodies.

Thanks,
Hanno
