Bruce Parker (RIP) 10-07-14 01:15

Not only funny glens but really REALLY strange Royal 22nd cap badges.

(yet, the photo is captioned inncorectly)

They are actually from the Toronto Scottish Regiment, who mounted the King's Guard at Buckingham Palace in April 1940.

Cookie goes to Bruce who spotted it first..

Mark : it must have been late April taking over from the R22R which was there from 12 to 21 April and which was the first "non-british" regiment to guard at Buckingham.

Was that incorrect news service photo used in any paper? Im thinking maybe one of the Sun papers perhaps? as they are Quebecor

You can watch the full 32 minuets of the changing of the guard ceremony, from the Welsh Guards to the Royal Twenty Second Regiment at Buckingham Palace.
