Well, not so much with all the politics floating around here. I did my part but refuse to fly the current Canadian flag until they sort out whether it's OK or a symbol of 'unacceptable fringe values', to quote our Prime Minister. Oh, and there's talk the Canadian Ensign is a 'hate symbol. I sh!t you not.

A very confusing time to be a Canadian.

Anyway, I flew period correct flags for the era of my house, and the Quebec and Nova Scotia flags because that's where my kids are living.

Happy Dominion Day!

Happy Dominion Day to you and yours Bruce.

And to all the others who are Canadian, even if it is just for one day.

Guys,

Relatively quiet Canada Day. The Lynx was the flag bearer at the end of the driveway and the ladies and I had our own fireworks in the evening.

Well you had all the relevant options covered, Bruce.

And by the way, your windows look pretty good as well!

Thanks Dave, I expect the windows comment has to do with the glazing putty? Lawd knows I used enough of it!! The pink flamingos and gargoyle (on the garage roof under the Quebec flag) are all the wife.

Anyway, not to be too down on it, happy Dominion Day plus 1!!!

Am I safe to assume by your comment, Bruce, you mean your wife put them there, not that they represent her in any way, shape or form.

If you are ever up this way, the Pink Garden Flamingo is the National Bird of Transcona. You are not allowed to live there unless you have at least 12 in your yard.

it is time to examine the historical context of that flag
