Bofors Spirit Level

I need a number of these Bronze/Brass Spirit Level assemblies as used on the Mark 2 40mm Bofors AA Platform.

As always, prefer the best condition available, but will accept anything from anywhere you may be. Having the special screws that mount them would nice, too.

Fairly certain available on U. S. Ebay under Bofors.

Barry, is this the link you were thinking of? If so, it looks like the seller has 8 remaining (having sold 2 already)

Slightly different version for the US M2A1 (I can't be certain the screw pattern is the same), but the Seller won't ship anyway.

Still looking.

Rob's reply may make this irrelevant... That's a different set of shipping restrictions than what I get displayed (I was originally looking at ebay.com - not ebay.com.au or ebay.ca) though the pricing is the same so likely the same seller smgt67. If you haven't done so, it might be worth asking for confirmation that they won't ship. I've found some who make blanket "won't ship" statements but who will ship if contacted in advance. Similarly, they might be willing to confirm their mounting pattern to an interested buyer, after all - it isn't a general interest type if question that they'd automatically answer in the listing.

Postage to Aust

Tony,

If it helps, you can have the US sourced ones shipped to me and I'll post on, but the post service US to Aust these days is Priority Express only, so it is outrageously expensive. Depends how much you want/need them, I suppose.

I have noticed lately with Ebay that if the seller hasnt paid extra to have their sale listed outside their country, Ebay doesnt appear to let the seller sell to anyone outside that country either, even if the buyer wants the item shipped to a location in the same country as the seller and even if the buyer and seller agree to a sale through ebay. Such is the level of control ebay try to impose. I had recently to ask a friend in the USA to buy something and then reship to me in the UK because the seller simply couldnt set their sale up in a way that allowed me to buy from them. Mad Mad world.

Purchase & post

Thanks, Tim. Not being an evil-bay user, I am unaware of the rules.

Tony, if such is the case, I can do the purchase & post if that works for you.

Thanks, Mike. I will hold out for now for the proper Commonwealth Pattern used on the Mark 2 Platform.
