WS-62 Mk II Wireless - how do i fit it

1 Attachment(s)
Hi All

I have just aquired a WS-62 Mk II Wireless and some extra bits thrown in that I wish fit into my MB Jeep. I have been looking around on the net, but so far I have not found any photos showing the radio fitted in a vehicle.

Are any of my MLU buddies out there able to advise how and where the radio was fitted in a Jeep. I was thinking of manufacturing some sort of frame work to fit the radio. Anyone have any ideas. :coffee

Cheers

Meulstee's "Wireless for the Warrior" shows the WS No 62, including the crystal calibrator, jeep mounted over the rear wheel on the sponson on the passenger side.

Unfortunately there is no diagram or picture of the whole installation.

The set had a detachable cage assy that it was mounted in. In ASSU use it was only held down by a bar across the top, much like a battery hold down clamp.

Thanks to VMARS many of the manuals for the set are available online.
Go to: http://www.vmarsmanuals.co.uk/archive/files_index.htm

Document 56 gives a lot of info about mounting in 5cwt.

The EMERS are there as well.

Hi Bruce

Thanks for the VMARS Site, It certainly looks very very interesting and a big help for beginners. Looks like I have a lot of reading ahead of me. :coffee
