Timber truck bodies

G'day All,
Leeann found this badge on a 1940 GMC that I was taking some parts off for my Chevy. What does this badge signify - does it mean that the body was an original WWII tray? Or is it something similar to what happens today if you get a mechanic or engineer to do modifications on a vehicle which then has to be inspected by the Department of Transport and they put an approved modifcation plate on it? The reason I ask is that the vehicle has some signs of being ex-military. Kind Regards Lionel |
Was it a 6X6?
any photo's? Cheers Jeff |

It had a very good horn and a exterior door handle until I took them off and paid for them. :) :) Body and tray of truck was sad. Badge was rescued. :D Kind Regards Lionel |
