'42 cab 13 diffs

I have a pair of diffs from a 1942 cab 13 chev. Has 20" wheels but tires are no good. 7.25 ish ratio. Right rear axle missing. Prefer to sell as a pair. You pick up. Hoping for $500 cdn. I could use the space in my driveway. Located in Vineland Ont. Canada

I don't know what these are worth. What about trade for a large anvil (over 225 lbs)? Throw me a bone here. What are they worth?

Any chance you could post a picture?

It would help to tell how much they are worth if know what condition they appear to be in I assume that it a front and a rear is that correct. Next question before I go looking on a map where is Vineland, Ontario.

Near St. Catharines in the Niagara peninsula, Phil, south of the QEW. If you're going to Mapquest type in St Catharines, zoom once and head west. Pretty country, and a bit of a hike for you, but it's less than an hour from Buffalo NY.

what are you scrounging up now.....

Hi Phil

Are you going to come up to pick them up or am I going to trailer it down to you for the next Weare meeting????? hahaha

Still don't know the condition

It will depends on the condition, after all the trouble I've had finding spare axles it might be worth going up and getting them. But I thought I might have by daughter bring them back from her honeymoon. They are going considering going across Canada by rail. Thought they could strap them to the roof of her little Honda.

No actually I've been thinking about taking a trip up that way.

If you are coming this way try 25 June weekend and meet everyone at Caldwells in Chatsworth..
About 10 miles south of Owen Sound..
It is a great gather up..

Caldwell Weekend Sounds Interesting But

But thats two weeks before my daughters wedding, but then again by then they may just want me out of way.

Well I haven't been able to get ahold of a digital camera so a description will have to do. The rear axle is missing the long side shaft, the front axle has 1 brake siezed. fluid is/was very dirty but no signs of water. Should have seals and fluid change anyway. Rims (20") are decent with some pitting where they sat in water. Tires aren't usable. Spring perches are complete. Can build onto trailer for a price.

cab11ca 12-05-05 13:49

I can build them onto a trailer if needed, just supply your own plate. Trying to make arrengeents to get to chatsworth. Will keepyou posted

Phil Waterman 13-05-05 01:31

Ray I won't be at Chatsworth

Ray- Hope you are not thinking about hauling the axle to Chatsworth for me because I will not be there. Sorry for any confusion on my part. Thanks for the effort though. I should have been more specific.

cab11ca 13-05-05 13:46

I was/am hoping to go to chatsworth anyway. Just thought about bringing axles if anyone was interested.( "confused" was supposed to be a smiley face thing but didn't work)
