Proper "jerry " can

What would be a proper 5 gal. jerry can to display on a Canadian second war armoured vehicle. I have some American cans and what appears to be British made copies of the original German can. Any thoughts?

From many period photos of Jeeps and the like, it seems that we had a fondness towards the Brit or German type Jerrycans.
I think original "liberated" German cans would look cool if you have some but Brit ones would be equally acceptable. :thup2:
