Chevrolet bell housing

1 Attachment(s)
Chevrolet bell housing wanted. To suit 216 (and probably 235). Not a column change car type but a floor shift (1938/9 floor shift car or any commercial from 15cwt through to trucks). I am pretty sure a CMP style will also do the job. Near Brisbane would be great! This pattern is the front of the gearbox.

If only you were closer.......

They do not grow on trees (yet) but are readily available in N.A. and would give you one readily.

216...235 and 261 all bolt on directly..... there is even a 60 era RH bell housing for GM vans with a hydraulic clutch fork which I believe will take modern SM420 trannies..... why have a RH hydraulic clutch in a left hand vehicle is a puzzle...!!! and it mates to a 261......

Water, water everywhere and no way to row!!!!!!!

Thanks Bob

If I was closer I would be putting a Chevrolet S10 T5 overdrive box in the 1940 Utility but they never sold the S10 in Australia. Any other T5 and you need bucket seats and a gearstick against the back of the cab wall! The project has lost all the column change linkages and I have a stick shift from a 1939 that looks idendical but the bolt pattern is nowhere near the column bell housing. Can't even redrill to suit.
