British vehicles in the Far East

Hey all, recently became interested in the Far East campaign of WW2, particularly the British side. Anyone know which softskin vehicles would be used? As far as I know the far east wasn't as well supplied with new vehicles etc as other fronts so wonder what sort of vehicles would have been used, i've seen photos of Jeeps and also Dodge 4x4 and 6x6 vehicles used by the British, be interested in any photos of 15cwt trucks etc.

Cheers, Rob

Rob, here´s a photo IWM SE 3071 captioned "62 Motorised Bde advance on a road between Myaungyu on the Irawaddy Bridgehead and Meiktila" (printed in Images Of War: Sherman Tank, p.128).

Zooming in on IWM SE 3071 shows us a late model Chevrolet 4x4 15-cwt truck (note hub flanges) followed by a Dodge WC51/52 Weapons Carrier.

Ah cheers - i've seen several photos of Dodge 4x4 and 6x6 trucks used in the far east by the British, including a Dodge WC52 modified at the rear and used, with a trailer, to tow light artillery spotting planes
