Tapping head
Automatic tapping head for 40mm Bofors projectiles
https://collections.slsa.sa.gov.au/r.../121/7/VOL4/17 https://collections.slsa.sa.gov.au/r.../121/7/VOL4/12 During one of the early Corowa trips, we called in to Plumbs scrap metal yard at Wodonga - scrounging around we found a few boxes of these same Bofors projectiles and a few members bought a few. Imagine that sort of thing going on today. They also had NOS tank radial engine cylinders they were selling as collector pieces. While we were at the yard a local farmer spotted our vehicles and he stopped for a chat, he was in his Ford CMP , registered for road use. |

Jeep trailer

Jeep trailer production 1945. The odd thing is: these trailers were being manufactured by GM-H in mid 1945 but as early as Oct. and Nov. 1945 the trailers were being sold as brand new stock by surplus dealers i.e Stokoe Motors and other dealers in Melbourne.
Looks like GM-H did not make the Jeep trailer wheels. |
