I haven't seen gas tanks mounted in that orintation before, any specific model do that?

Here's a 3 ton GS in the same configuration (NMP). I think that's an Australian-built back body?

Not an issue with the later tanks, but I guess with the early fuel tanks (short neck at 90 degrees on top), having the filler neck at the rear would have improved access for refuelling? :confused

Owen, yes, an Australian-assembled Cab 12 CMP 3 ton F60L with a local pattern wood body, wooden spare tyre/tool box, local pattern roof hatch and grab handles and with a canvas water bag holder/frame attached to the exterior of the nearside door.
