Next project - Ford GPW

Once the Ford GP is completed, I'll have this GPW to work on.

I'll collect it on the way to the MVPA convention in May, along with the restored hood/bonnet and windscreen/windshield for the Ford GP.

Reasonably complete, some original markings, but Oh! SO rusty!! Will be quite a challenge, I think.

Hello Mike,

You may want to become familiar with this product on your new project.... Ozspray Heavy Duty Industry Extra Grade Lanolin penetrant

It certainly helps with my 2A Land Rover Ambulance that a previous owner liked to drive on the beaches. This was without their doing any maintenance such as hosing off the salt water after each trip. It makes life very interesting now that I am dismantling it.

The disadvantage of the lanolin is that you smell like a wet sheep for a while. However, your hands get nice and soft :0)

Kind regards
Lionel

Thanks Lionel,

Alas, cannot find it for sale in the USA. I see it comes in 200 litre drums: a few of those and a makeshift bath and I could soak the GPW in it!!

Hello Mike,

What about Ozspray's dearer opposition Lanotech?

Kind regards
Lionel
