Carburettor information Solex S1450 wanted
Hi all,
I need some information regarding my solex carburetor fitted to my flat head V8. I was told that the Brengun carriers have a flathead fitted so thought some one in the group may be able to help. It is a twin choke carb, model no. S1450 Does anyone know were I can get a full set of spares!! I could also do with a parts drawing and knowing the full spec of the carb. All help gratefully received. Bryan |

Treadwell Carb in NY State
I had excellent results with Treadwell. I sent them the hulk of the single barrel carb original to the carrier, including the govenor, and they totally rebuilt it. Even the Govenor.
Then, then put it on a V8 test motor and set up the adjustments. All for $98.00 USD http://www.carbsandkits.com/tc/treadwell.html They also have European makes. They now know what a bren carrier is if you ask them! Cheers, JIm |

That is not a carrier carb, or at least not the one used for the British Universal Carriers. I can check the proper model designation if anyone wants it.
