You'd need to be keen to take this one on. Pic by Ron Fry, March 08.

The answer is I don't know for sure but I think Ron mentioned something about a range in South Australia.

He gave me a batch of several hundred pics to scan, very few of which have any information attached. Ron is now deployed to Darwin and difficult to contact.

Ken -errr Keith.

It looks like Cultana Range, between Pt Augusta and Whyalla. See another Range Relic here.

Cultana Range sees quite a few live fire Exes.

Here's another one in the "Swiss cheese" category - this one was actually brought back to running condition!

I would have been looking for sure, trying to piece together the jigsaw of bits across the desert floor.

Just wondering?

When SM Bob will ask for the serial numbers?

It's amazing what can be done when doing one of these restorations. This Japanese type 95 tank came off a range and has undergone quite a metamorphosis at the Oregon Military Museum starting in 2006. There's more pix here.

Do a search for Japanese and you'll get pix of the whole restoration.

Hi David, now thats impressive and renews my faith in what can be achieved with a little "blood, swet & beer"!!! :thup2:

Here is the link to the Oregon Military Museum - www.swiftview.com/~ormilmuseum/
