D Day event, Camp Claiborne, La.
 

Warning Order! Just heard about this. There is a large D Day event happening Oct, 21, 22 at Camp Claiborne, La. Over 250 already registered, 130 of which are Jerry! Camp Claiborne is an abandoned military base 2 hrs south of Shreveport, La. on Hwy 49. The reenactment will be a tactical battle on 1,000 acres of varying terrain with Jerry caught between Airborne forces and amphibious forces arriving on the beach. I, the Lone Canuck, will be attacking from the East, after I get Jerry sorted out on Juno beach, of course!

Yep, knew about that event but I'm tied up with another project down in South Texas that weekend so won't be attending. Dave D. is in Australia right now but he might be back in time for the event.

Some of our old guys out towards Houston have come back to reenacting as a commando unit and they might be attending as well.
