Canadian Fox cam colours
 

Attached is a picture of a Fox in England circa 1943. Other photo's would indicate it (or parts of it for camouflage purposes) had been repainted as the bridge class on the front plate is stencilled and not factory applied. I'd greatly appreciate anyones best guess what the base colour and colour of the micky mouse pattern is.

Bruce, go to paint schemes for CMP trucks and follow the links to read up on the latest research on the subject of Commonwealth vehicle camouflage.

Humber camouflage
 

Bruce: Check out the colours on Gen Crerar's Humber... (thread "Nice Pic") it appears to be in faded #2 brown with broad green bands. Cheers, Mike

Factory khaki with asphalt 'micky-mouse' marked to the RCD's in 1943 soon after joining the 1 Canadian Corps was the final decision.

"RCD's"?? Never heard of them!!

Everyone knows (or should) that you cannot pluralize the letters that represent the ROYAL CANADIAN DRAGOONS (Canada's Senior armoured regiment).

"RCD" and "RCD" only; whether there's one or many. :D

Looking good there, Bruce. The regt will be pleased. Perhaps we can convince you to bring it up for a Parade some day. I'm sure we can provide a flatbed and maybe rations and quarters.

Any luck finding a name for her yet?

I stand corrected. RCD it is!!

The name, if I can prove names were worn on RCD Fox in 1943, would be "CHASM". This is based on information Darrell provided and partially in response to the amount of time and money the old girl has consumed. My problem is the meager (photographic and otherwise) evidence doesn't show any such markings.

Please prove me wrong, or point me to evidence that names were used so "CHASM" can be...christened.
