Hi Bernard, welcome to the forum and especially to the Carrier part!!
There doesn't seem to be much on the Mine Clearing Carrier which was fitted with a water cannon. It's great though that your dad operated one. All I have managed to unearth at the moment is the photo attached. There's bound to be others somewhere.

I'd be interested in any details you may have from your dad's experience with it.

Hi Nigel thankyou for posting the photo. Sorry for my delay in replying but my dad only ever mentioned they used them . But he hardly ever spoke about his personel wartime expieriences. He passed away seventeen years ago but i have all his medals and some exercise books from his bomb disposal training.I have had a look through but there is no mention of the carriers only different types of german bombs.thankyou for your interest.

Best regards Bernard.

Hi Bernard

Keep up your search it is always interesting to find out more about what our fathers did in the War.

Now as to your specific search for carriers used in mine clearance using water canon, I have a vague memory of seeing movie film of mine clearance operations after the war. Maybe somebody in our little group will remember which film archive.

Cheers Phil
