NOS 19-Set Installation Kits - Heads Up

Just looking through the Fair Radio Sales website and stumbled across a listing for the above. Appear to be kits for heavy armour. Two packages for the complete kit. Mk II USA production. SKU # is ‘19SET’.

Dave, what do you think those red splotches or inside the pocket watch cover?

Evening, Bruce.

My best guess would be a series of Signal Corps Inspection Stamps.

They are usually close to a ‘Chinese Red’ in colour (go figure these days), square framed with two or three alphanumeric characters inside. They also appear in differing sizes like the C-Broad Arrow.

I have seen them before inside US 19-Set HOLDERS, Watches, but usually only one or two. Looks like somebody did a Happy Dance on this one!

I wonder if the HOLDERS, Watch in US production were imports from Britain, or Canada, or locally produced?

Here I was hoping for three squeezes of watch dampening rubber...

I have examples of British and Canadian watch holders and they are quite different (plus a nickel plated brass one on my No.1 set) and expect the Americans made their own. I've never had an American 19 set to inspect close up.
