Lend lease Chev

I am looking for websites or information, pics etc of the Lend-Lease Chev truck fitted with duals on the rear. In particular the one with jeep-style steering wheel and blackout switches on the dash.

I have a copy of a contracts listing I think all US built Chevrolets to US order, including Defence Aid and Lend-Lease. As a cobsequence I have Xerox copies of say the YR and MS trucks that fit your bill. I would need to know the model type etc. to look up the contract.

US built cab

Hi Bob

That Lend Lease Chev you pictured in the museum has a U.S.A. built cab . The wind out windscreen is the givaway , plus the single piece door glasses . These cabs were assembled by GMH from imported panels . The locally made GMH cab has either a fixed , or brass framed push out windscreen on large brackets each end . The C 44 ? on the plate indicates a March 1944 date .

That be the puppy that followed me home.

That's the one and the same style steering wheel. In the piles of parts that went with the truck I found a brass windscreen frame with a grab handle in the middle and thanks to Mike I now know it's origin. The truck I have is identical to yours, is a runner but needs a "bit of work" and the only part missing is the horn button... got a spare?
Thanks for the help guys.

MS?

The Stake truck could be a 1942 Series MS 1 1/2 ton Cab with Stake, right hand drive, Contracts Q-398-QM-12981 and 13006, Model 4409.
