Cheesehead screws BSF

Hi,
For my Sherman tank WS19 installation I need 4 more Cheesehead screws to hold the four shock mounts to the steel shelf below the carrier. Eight in total are required, two per mount. Would anyone have original steel Cheesehead screws (non-plated preferred) matching the following:

BSF 1/4-26 x 5/8

5/8" length would be ideal but 1/2" or 1" would also work. I am aware of British Fasteners in the States who can supply these, but would prefer original period ones if at all possible to match the four I currently have. The lockwashers and nuts are not essential, but that would be sweet if those can be supplied too. Willing to purchase them from you plus pay all postage.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Patrick

I've had no response to my request; not really surprised because these screws are hard to find. I am considering placing an order through British Fasteners in the States but was wondering if anyone else (in Canada) would be interested in sharing shipping costs? The company has almost any bolt you can think of. BF will not ship anything without tracking and insurance, and the rate starts at $25 USD postage. For a small package of bolts the shipping alone makes them unaffordable, but with a larger purchase the postage would be more affordable. Let me know if there is any interest here. Any bolt you see mentioned in EMERS is likely available through British Fasteners!
Regards, Patrick

Are you 100% certain they are 1/4” bsf ? and not OBA ? On U.K. eBay you can get either no problem, I can buy and forward to you if you want?, postage won’t be much to you.

If all else fails, this company might also be an option https://www.historicthreads.co.uk/

Ba

Being of U.S. origin the Sherman itself would not have BSF threads, but the radio mounting hardware in the turret may have been retrofitted. From memory they used BA fasteners in the 19 set itself .

Another solution is to buy a BSF die and make the fasteners but you would need a small lathe.

I may have some left over from my M3A1 Scout Car 19 Set installation. Have sent you a pm.

Hi Terry,
My apologies for not responding sooner, I did not see your post nor did I see your PM. I would be very interested in knowing what you have left from your own project. Based on the OMERS manual diagram for the Carrier Set No. 21, Page 60, I can confirm that indeed they are BSF, Steel, Ch H, 1/4-26 x 5/8-in long. For me, they could be longer if 5/8" length are not available. Can't remember the quantity I originally requested, but would like to find 8 if possible

To contact me, please try my email, patrick.johnson@sympatico.ca

Let me know if you also have the nuts to go with them, and the Shakeproof Washers (not essential), plus of course, price.
Many thanks for responding.
Patrick
P.S. do your BSF look like the picture I've posted?
