Drive to Victory

After more years than I care to count, 'Drive to Victory' (volume 1) has been sent to the printers. Look for deliver in mid-April.

Drive to Victory

Excellent news! Does it include photo(s) of the rare Mack NR 14 with mounted crane as used by RCE road construction companies, too?
Will you have an european distributor, or is it best to order from you overseas?

Juergen Kurz from Salzburg / Austria

My copy arrived today
Overall very good :thup2:

You may want to change description on photo on page 40 from early Chevrolet to Early Ford in next print .
It is fitted with early Chevrolet Differentials though .

Damn! I knew that too because the photo comes from a Ford catalogue.
I will set up a web page for errata on this book so keep them coming.

Okay.....love the book! Great job Clive. A couple of points....P.225 shows a Lorry 3 Ton GS 158 WB with 5F1,5W1,5W4 bodies. To me, it appears to be a 134 WB with a 4A1 GS body.....Fords in the top photos, Chev in the lower one.

Also, being a fan of the Ward Lafrance M1A1 Heavy Wrecker I was looking forward to seeing it in the Wrecker section. They were used apparently by the Railway Operating Coys of the RCE.

I'm looking forward to Vol 2.

Cheers,

Neil

No, not that I'm aware of.

Cheers, Mark

How time flies.........

....I believe his collection was purchased by a Militaria dealer from Toronto..... whose name I can't recall.

Not sure if that included copyrights of existing manuals and/or drafts or partial drafts of volume 2......

Clive left so suddenly that a lot of pet projects got dropped very sad.

His son who is in the Cdn service and might have some answers.

Very few around left that have the dedication to see such a project through.

I must say I do miss the old fella.....even if younger than me!!!

Was it Dave Hiorth of Military Antiques Toronto?
