Wandering round the back blocks this weekend resulted in finding this F60L cab 12 in really good nick seeing its sitting in the weather. Anyone (maybe Mike) shed any light on the 75618 serial number?

12 cab

I would surgest that it's number is 25618 as 75618 seems to be to high a number for acab 12. I will be heading to the war memorial with in the next couple of weeks if I remember I will look it up.

I reckon you're right, Max it fits neatly into a series of early cab 12 F60Ls.

Heres a shot from the RHS. Sure looks like to top of a 7 but maybe its just that font. Any help would be greatly appreciated Max.

F 60L

Graeme are you adding this one to your collection? To get a cab 12 with both doors is getting harder these days. You can see on the front bumper bar the remains of where it's number was also. To me these cab 12's are the pick of the blitz's as far as blitzs go,but not the roomiest, I have one under way to be restored, just seems to have too many other things to fix.

data plate

Graeme, was there a data plate on the side of the dash? That will have the truck's serial number, like this one:

Here's a link to the website where you can purchase these models.

I don't have any connection with the seller, but these look pretty good overall.

Here's a pic from the site.

Note how they've wrongly used the front lifting hub on the rear axle which mars an otherwise good effort.

Thanks Max

I need to approach this 1 with a bit of sensitivity. Little old lady is not too keen to let anyone near her late husbands toys. I will quietly go about asking for a closer look.
Thanks for your help.

Model

As for the model I bought 2 so I can shorten 1 to a C60S.
