M101cdn2 trailer wheel interchange?

I have a M101CDN2 1/4 ton trailer and do not have a spare to carry when using the trailer.

Has anyone come up with an interchangeable wheel that will work in an emergency since the correct wheel is so hard to come by here in the U.S.?

I would prefer not to go the adapter plate route to switch to a common Jeep or other brand rim.

You smart guys who have done the dance with these wheels probably know the solution and I don't want to "reinvent the wheel" so to speak.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Iltis rims themselves are not that hard to come up with...at least not on the northern side of the border.

Or you can buy new hubs that take a normal light truck tire or rim. You might even be able to get the same hub pattern as whatever vehicle you are towing it with.

i would rather not go the hub change route. I'd prefer the interchange to a spare tire rim from something civilian if possible. The trailer is so original i hate to make that change to non stock.

The Iltis rim is 5 x 112mm. There are websites where you can look at the interchange, such as here: https://sizemywheels.com/lz-pcd/5-112
You may not get a 16" wheel, but since it is just a trailer, a smaller tire would be kind of like a hide-a-spare.

I have one or two spare Iltis rims kicking around the yard. Thanks to a late snowstorm they are all buried under the snow. I could let you have one cheap but the postage might be a little heavy.
